FLORENTINE II

Florentine II also known as "Poppy No 2" was made by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company 1932-1935.  Colors include crystal, Green, Pink,Yellow, and Cobalt. Unique to this pattern are a meat platter with an indent for the gravy boat and a round condiment tray that holds a sugar, creamer, and salt and pepper shakers.  Hard to find is the small 6 1/4" coned pitcher which comes only in  yellow.  Green is the favorite color in the pattern but yellow is also easily found.  Lids from the butter dish and candy jar are interchangeable; they are the same size. You can collect a complete set of this pattern ,which has numerous pieces, in these two colors.  Only a few pieces were made in the pink and cobalt.  This pattern has been intermixed with Florentine I that also comes in the same colors.  The difference between the two patterns is that Florentine I has a ruffled edge at the corners while Florentine II is completely round in shape.
